Webinar: Directors’ Responsibilities in the current climate

June 2, 2020 11:00 am - 11:30 am

Online Webinar

These are brutal times for us all and civil engineering and the wider construction industry in particular. As we look ahead to works restarting on 1st June, we should consider how the social distancing model will affect the financial robustness of our businesses and potential issues that we may have to deal with.

In this 20 minute webinar, Johnston Carmichael will offer a financial insight on the construction sector, highlight additional issues created by the impact of Covid 19 and suggest ideas to make the sector more sustainable.  They will discuss how you can create a business strategy to meet current liabilities, that are currently deferred, and will review the latest statistics on corporate failure within the Scottish construction industry.

They will also identify important considerations for directors to act responsibly in times of financial uncertainty.  It should be noted that in certain circumstances, company directors can be held personally liable for the consequences of the decisions they take and they will discuss how those difficulties can be avoided.

What you will learn from this webinar:

A financial insight on Covid-19 and the Construction Industry
Clarity of thought on how to best approach potential financial difficulties
The consequences of a director getting Personal Liability wrong
How to develop your own strategy to meet any additional liabilities brought upon your business
Opportunity to hear from and share insight with other business leaders on these key matters
