Meet The Sheriff Mock Trial (Service Strike incident)

CECA Scotland have organised a “Meet The Sheriff” Mock Trial, focusing on a Service Strike incident.

This mock trial, based on a cable strike incident, will be run by specialist advocates from DAC Beachcroft. We are also delighted to have Sheriff Michael Wood presiding over the case. There will be an opportunity to ask questions of the Solicitors and Sheriff in an informal format after the event.

The case will follow normal court procedures. Delegates will act as the jury and decide the outcome. The Sheriff will comment on the case and pass down sentencing. The event will demonstrate the challenges faced by those who have to give evidence in a Sheriff Court and will give guidance on how to comply with the law.

This event is specifically for operatives, supervisors and those with responsibility for site management and Health & Safety within their company.

This 1/2 day event is free and will include tea/coffee on arrival and lunch to close. Places are limited to 100 and will be on a “first come, first served” basis.
