Designing and Building Resilience into Infrastructure Projects

October 28, 2021 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Online Workshop

CECA Scotland is teaming up with The Supply Chain School and NatureScot to deliver a webinar on nature-based solutions in infrastructure.

This event will feature guest speakers from Scottish Canals, responsible for managing the country’s inland waterways – and the Metropolitan Glasgow Strategy Drainage Partnership (MGSDP), which manages a City Deal investment of circa £45m to work in partnership with key stakeholders to deliver a programme of drainage schemes targeting areas of the city where rainfall adversely impacts communities.

The webinar will be based on first principles, ensuring understanding of the importance of design stages and how they feed into the built environment and sustainable outcomes delivered, the underlying drivers and multiple benefits/additionality that can be achieved. The content will also include input from stakeholders and companies involved in on-the-ground delivery who will provide their additional perspectives.

Attending this event will enable companies to find out more about the strategy and approaches being used by public bodies and their delivery partners for climate change adaptation in Scotland, and the opportunities being created through the design, installation and management of new projects and schemes tied to Green Infrastructure funding.
