Time To Talk Day 2020
Thursday 6 February is Time to Talk Day.
Organised by See Me Scotland, the aim of the day is to encourage everyone to have a conversation about mental health.
In the construction sector, mental health continues to be a huge challenge, with statistics released by Construction News in 2018 (see graphic above) showing that more than half of construction workers have experienced mental health issues.
A shocking 1 in 4 working in construction have considered taking their own life.
We know that it benefits all of us to talk about mental health.
Time to Talk Day is aimed at spreading the word that you can talk about mental health anywhere – including in the workplace.
See Me have produced a wide range of resources to help you start the conversation and support work colleagues – including posters and top-tip cards.
