Construction Inquiry – Call for Views
The Scottish construction sector is under the spotlight in an inquiry launched by the Scottish Parliament’s Economy, Energy and Fair Work Committee.
This is an excellent opportunity to ensure the issues that matter most to CECA Scotland members and all involved in the construction sector, are raised with Holyrood decision makers.
The Inquiry focuses on:
- The economic impact of the construction sector
- Access to finance
- Construction skills planning system/apprenticeships
- The construction procurement model
- Meeting Scotland’s infrastructure needs
- Driving innovation
You can read more detail here.
As well as carrying out a detailed “call for evidence”, which CECA Scotland will be taking part in, the Committee have launched their own short online survey.
We would encourage all with an interest in the future of Scotland’s construction industry to take part in the survey here.
It should take no more than 15 minutes of your time but please note the deadline of Friday 8 February.
If you are on social media, please encourage your colleagues to take part in the survey too, mentioning the Committee @SP_Economy and using #EconConstruction
If you are also able to feed into CECA Scotland’s detailed submission to the Inquiry, please get in touch with our Policy & Public Affairs Manager here.
