Rescheduled: CECA Scotland Dinner 2020
New Date for CECA Scotland Dinner & Awards 2020
Following the postponement of the Annual Dinner planned for 26th March, we are delighted to announce that we have secured a venue for after the summer, enabling the event to go ahead.
The 2020 CECA Scotland Annual Dinner will now be held on Tuesday 25th August 2020 in the Grand Ballroom of The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Glasgow Central. All tickets purchased for the March dinner will be rolled forward to August and we are pleased to report that our guest speakers have confirmed their availability for the new date.
The 2020 Dinner promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Once again, the evening with include the prestigious, CECA Scotland Most Promising Awards, celebrating new talent in our industry and we are excited to announce that our host for the evening will multi-award winning comedian, Dominic Holland.
With countless television credits to his name, including multiple appearances on Have I Got News for You and The Royal Variety Performance, Dominic has been described by The Sunday Times as ‘the UK’s master of observational comedy‘ and by The Daily Telegraph as ‘a top notch stand-up who everyone should see.’ Dominic is also dad to current Spiderman, Tom Holland.
We are also delighted to be joined by former footballer and manager Kevin Keegan, who we have no doubt keep guests entertained with tales of his many clashes playing and managing against Scotsmen! As a footballer, Kevin is the only British player to win the Ballon d’Or twice – picking up the best player award in 1978 and 1979.
We will, once again, be raising funds for the Doddie Weir Foundation on the evening and we are honoured that Doddie has accepted an invite to be our guest on the evening. Doddie will be joined by fellow Scottish rugby legend, Gary Armstrong.
