Bridges to Schools
Thanks to all CECA Scotland members who participated in our Bridges to School Training on Thursday 18 May 2017 at the National Mining Museum in Newtongrange
The event included a detailed presentation from Alison Ward of ICE Scotland on how to deliver a Bridges to School session and equipped all attending with practical advice on delivering sessions in both primary and secondary schools, booking and transporting the ICE/CECA bridge, as well as the opportunity to have a go at building it.
We’ve had extremely positive feedback on the event, school engagement is vital in encouraging young people to consider civil engineering as a career!
If any CECA Scotland member would like to get involved in delivering a Bridges to School session or is able to help transporting the bridge (which comes in a purpose built trailer), please get in touch with Alison Ward, ICE Scotland Education & Inspiration Co-ordinator at Alison.ward@ice.org.uk
