We have launched the initiative 'Engineering Scotland's Future' in May of 2025.
This campaign set out to shine a spotlight on civil engineering projects across Scotland that are not only transforming infrastructure but also delivering real, lasting benefits for communities, the environment, and society.
From reconnecting neighbourhoods to restoring natural habitats, the projects featured in this campaign are a testament to the power of engineering with purpose. Highlights include:
Stockingfield Bridge, which has reunited communities in North Glasgow with accessible travel routes and vibrant public spaces.
Eyemouth Wastewater Improvements, a project that tackled flooding while supporting community resilience and sustainability.
Levenmouth Rail Link, restoring rail access to thousands and unlocking opportunities for education, employment, and greener travel.
Garrell Burn Restoration, which brought a neglected river back to life, enhancing biodiversity and community access.
Gairnshiel Jubilee Bridge, replacing an 18th-century crossing to restore vital rural connectivity and protect a historic landmark
The Port of Nigg East Quay Development, a major infrastructure upgrade boosting offshore energy capacity and local industry.
