DAYWORKS RATES MASTERCLASS AND EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS BILL HR SEMINAR

This event will be split between a morning session and an afternoon session.

The CECA Dayworks update will take place from 10:00 - 12:00, followed by a networking lunch.

The HR Seminar with Weightmans LLP HR will take place from 12:00 - 15:30 starting with a networking lunch.

CECA Dayworks Masterclass - 10:00 - 12:00

Peter Crosland, former CECA Civil Engineering Director and one of the authors of the CECA Dayworks Schedules will deliver a Masterclass on the following;

  • Introduction to the history of Dayworks - why it is important to understand why and where they came from, even if they are now used differently
  • The make-up of the key drivers that inform how the rates are calculated
  • How the rates are calculated
  • Common problems & issues
  • The next steps - What will change, and why, in future iterations of the Dayworks Schedules.
  • Q&A session with delegates

Tea and coffee will be available on arrival from 10:00 for a 10:30 start of the Masterclass.

HR Seminar: Employment Law Roadshow - 12:00 - 15:30

CECA Scotland are pleased to partner with Weightmans LLP HR Rely service – one of the UK’s leading employment law and HR advisory services.
The HR Rely team will provide civil engineering contractors with expert support on employment law and employee relations issues, empowering them to operate more efficiently and achieve their long-term strategic goals. We are delighted to announce our first joint Employment Law Roadshow to help members navigating the employment landscape, that has become increasingly complex, with growing responsibilities for employers – such as the upcoming Employment Rights Bill.
Businesses are also facing more intricate challenges, including right-to-work compliance, supporting mental health, and managing flexible working requests.
