“See Me” – Mental Health Resources

Mental health and wellbeing continues to be huge challenge in the construction sector.

While awareness levels are growing, it’s still a shocking fact that workers in construction are more four times more likely to die from suicide than from a fall from height.

It’s absolutely vital that we take steps in all work environments to ensure employees – at all levels of the business – can speak openly about mental health, without fear of stigma or damaging their career prospects.

We would encourage CECA Scotland members to access the excellent resources produced by See Me, Scotland’s programme to tackle mental health stigma and discrimination.

You can access their full range of resources here.

See Me’s “Power of Okay video is especially powerful, watch below:

See Me also have a free e-learning course to help employees and line managers understand the impact that mental health stigma and discrimination can have in the workplace.

You can access this here.

Time to Change (See Me’s counterpart in England) has recently launched a new campaign, Ask Twice, targeted at men and there are excellent resource available to share at this link: https://www.time-to-change.org.uk/asktwice
