Scottish Civil Engineering Awards 2019

Scottish Civil Engineering Awards 2019

The Scottish Civil Engineering Awards for 2019 are now officially open for entries.

The Awards celebrate outstanding civil engineering achievement, innovation and ingenuity in Scotland, showcasing the people who design, build and maintain the infrastructure that shapes Scotland and transform our lives.

We’re looking for the most innovative, creative and sustainable contributions to Scotland’s built and natural environment.

Once again we have partnered with ICE Scotland to deliver the awards and following feedback from last years event, for 2019, we will be delivering a refreshed format, with an exciting lunchtime awards event to be held in late September.

2019 Award Categories

The 2019 awards have been refreshed so each category is now of equal merit and to better recognise smaller but just as important civil engineering projects which transform local communities.

More than one award may be made within a particular category.  Projects with an out-turn value of under £1 million will be recognised separately to larger projects.

  • Greatest Contribution to Scotland
  • Best Infrastructure Project
  • Innovation Award
  • Building Award
  • Engineered in Scotland
  • Sustainability and Resilience Award

“The Scottish Civil Engineering Awards provide a unique opportunity to recognise Scottish civil engineering at its best and celebrate the outstanding achievements of the profession. The refreshed format for 2019 represents an exciting change and we hope it will encourage more small projects to enter. I’m delighted that the Awards have grown into the highest honour for engineering excellence in Scotland.
