Scottish Apprenticeship Consultation

Scottish Apprenticeship Consultation

The Scottish Apprenticeship Advisory Board have launched a consultation on Defining an Apprenticeship.

The aim of the consultation is to agree a comprehensive definition of what an apprenticeship is within Scotland’s skills system.

With the apprenticeship offer continuing to grow as a result of the  expansion of Foundation and Graduate Apprenticeships, the consultation looks at the key components of the apprenticeship system in Scotland and considers how best to improve the system so that it provides the best experience and results for both employers and apprentices.

The SAAB are very keen to hear from employers right across Scotland, from all sizes of businesses and in all sectors, to ensure that the recommendations made best reflect the needs of industry.

The consultation results will inform the Board’s recommendations to the Scottish Government and we are therefore encouraging CECA Scotland members to use this opportunity to take part in the consultation, which runs until midnight on Wednesday 20th December.
