What Are We Looking For
We are currently seeking a Plant Coordinator to join our plant division. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day co-ordination of the Company’s plant and equipment.
Key Duties
To be the focal point for the co-ordination of plant and equipment
To provide day to day support to the Plant Manager and sites.
Answering and support calls coming through to the plant department, including from plant operators. Passing on messages and emails to the correct members of staff.
Ensure timely response to emails coming in from the sites, department and wider business.
Oversee Plant & Equipment registers associated with the fleet.
Control and update registers/systems to reflect plant and equipment hire status
Maintain and improve the plant departments documents to keep accurate records of machinery usage, repairs, and maintenance via MS Excel and Sharepoint.
Work with the finance and buying department to ensure PO numbers are issued for external hire and repairs.
Obtain customer information and maintain accurate records for external hires.
Monitor fuel stocks and request orders via the buying department.
Upload on a weekly basis the on hire and off hire of IHB plant to COINs to ensure accurate and timely records of where each piece of plant is located.
Maintain TACHO records as required.
Help arrange engineering inspections for plant items.
To be aware of the Company’s Health and Safety at Work procedures and to ensure their application as they relate to your areas of responsibility.
To attend specific training courses arranged by the Company.
To carry out such duties as may be ascribed to the post from time to time.
What Do You Need
Knowledge and understanding of construction plant and equipment management
Experience in a similar role within the engineering or construction sectors
Strong IT knowledge, able to operate MS packages like Excel.
Effective communicator, both written and verbally.
Time Management Skills: able to prioritise workload and clearly communicate to ensure the smooth running of the plant department.
Able to work diligently with minimal supervision.
Hold a valid and current UK driving licence. (Desirable)
