Speaker:       Mark Bezzant of Bezzant Limited.
Summary:     The course will provide a reasonably detailed explanation of the elements of the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract that concern the matter of programmes.  The course will deal with the June 2017 Edition and the Amendments January 2019 concerning programmes.

The course aims to provide those delegates who are involved in bidding for and/or administering a contract based on the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract an increased knowledge of the information for and use of programmes and the rights and obligations that relate to the matter of programmes.

“Accepted Programme” – definition and status
Relationship with compensation event procedure
Content of programmes
Circumstances for revisions
Times for submission
Incorporating compensation events and other changes
Relevance of planned Completion(s)
Treatment of float
Time risk allowances – purpose and changes in allowances
Revising the programme, including incorporating actual progress, plans to deal with delays and other changes
Valid reasons for not accepting programmes
Basis for assessing compensation events
Programming and assessment of compensation events where programmes not accepted by the Project Manager

This is a full day event which will begin at 0830 and run through until 1530. Breakfast rolls and lunch will be provided.

A CPD certificate will be issued on full completion of the training day.
